Healthy Communities Research Project follow-up meetings

Since July , 2011, South Bend parks & Recreation Department has been working with the national non-profit GPRed Healthy Communities Research Groupto assess, document, and evaluate elements related to aligning parks and recreation as a catalyst for enhancing community health, specifically reducing obesity levels for youth ages 10-14.  The information has been gathered, statistics tabulated, and now the South Bend parks & Recreation Department is ready to reveal the information in upcoming community-wide public meetings.  All are invited to attend. Following a brief presentation, facilitators from the Healthy Communities Research Group (HCRG) will ask you to give YOUR input to help validate and determine key focus areas, potential solutions and feasible recommendations.
