Learn-to-Swim
Lessons for children ages 7 and up (and at least
4 feet tall–no exceptions) are being offered at
Riley High School. Lesson times begin on the
hour from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Monday-
Thursday. Level and class time will be
determined by the instructor at the time of
registration. You may register for your
immediate family members only. Parents are not
allowed to stay during lessons.

registrations accepted.
Fee: $37/R, $42/NR.
A rate of $20 per student is also available for
those who receive reduced school books.

Parent & Child Aquacise
Bring your child with you to enjoy exercising
together. Tuesday Evenings at 6:00 p.m. Children
must be age 7 or older and a minimum of 4 feet
tall. Classes will start on June 15. The fee is
$3.50 per person per session.

Aqua Aerobics - Potawatomi Pool
Enjoy the healthful benefits of Aquacise! You do
not need to know how to swim to enjoy these
classes. These classes are taught by certified
instructors and benefit the participant’s
cardiovascular system, and provide an overall
feeling of well being. Water adds resistance to
the exercise routine, while buoyancy makes the
work seem effortless. Classes are being offered
at Potawatomi Pool. Classes run Monday thru
Friday from 11:00 to 11:45 am, and Monday and
Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 6:45 pm. Classes
will start on June 14. The fee is $3.50 per

Lifeguarding and WSI Classes
The South Bend Parks and Recreation Department offers lifeguard classes countywide. The intensive class will be on week long. It will begin Monday June 7th and will end Friday, June 11th. It will run from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.* The class will be held at Notre Dame's Rockne Pool. The cost is $100.00 per person and the participants must be at least 15 years old.
We intend to hold a Water Safety Instructor class at the Rockne Pool starting Friday June 4th and running until Friday June 11th. This class also starts at 9:00 a.m. but might go beyond 4 p.m.* The cost is $100.00 and the participants must be at least 16 years old.
Both of these classes must have at least 6
